My scores so far for DC’s Zero month subscribed titles. I’m very contented with all my books except for “The Phantom Stanger”, one of my most favorite comic characters. The potentials are high but the storytelling and visuals are weak. It makes the Stranger look like a class C character. Not fair at all. Give The Phantom Stranger to writer & artist teams like James Robinson & Tony Harris; Denise Mina & Leonardo Manco; Peter Milligan & Vicente Cifuentes; Alisa Kwitney (I so
love her take on the character via a Vertigo one-shot with artist Guy Davis) & Diogenes Neves; and, Warren Ellis & Adrian Syaf. But if I had my way, I’d give it to Scott Snyder or Jeff Lemire (tested to have mastery of dark characters) and have it drawn by Ethan Van Sciver with covers by Mauro Cascioli. Too much to ask eh? I dunno. The Stranger deserves these guys. We, readers, deserve them.

Thank you very much to those who shared! PLM-CMC unites to help their own community and the rest of those who need ‘em. The “Donate! Drink New Flavors of Coffee! Watch New Films!” is an initiative of the PLM-CMC Community spearheaded by the Office of the Dean; the Film Aesthetics Classes; and the Photojourn class (Sandinawa). The donations were coursed through Moonleaf Cafe.Continue to be a blessing to many! God bless you all! =)

Despite of two cancelled meet-ups, I’ve had a wonderful Saturday spending it with my longtime friend and collaborator, Nine. He’s been in a few of my short experimental films and has been part of my artworks/exhibitions (as my usual model o
r pegs for my action paintings) in the past. He has also helped me during my first two episodes for MMK years back. And we’ve been seeing each other every six months or so since he was based in Pampanga. I tried browsing for our old photos but it’s either me taking the photo of him or vice versa. There’s one that was taken in 2006 but the file’s too small. Here’s one taken in 2007 during our shoot of “Nykto” and one taken yesterday using my epic fail cellphone camera (we kinda switched haircuts but at least we didn’t switched weights!). hahaha! Cheers to one of my good ol’ friends!

Dear UP Pep Squad,

I’ve been your fan since you’ve been robbed off your deserved championships since this UAAP Cheerdance started. So I know you’re gonna nail it again this year even if I only watch past performances in youtube. Here’s my

proof ► Click this!

My friend Nine told me you won again this year. I’m not at all surprised. Now be nice you people and send me a wonderful photo of you all in your champ moment. =)

love,
Jayvee
When Rj and I went to try Kung Fu Kitchen, we were in for a little surprise. Their food and prices weren’t bad. Plus the fortune cookie I got said it all. Hehehe! =P
