De Ja Vu in Dinagyang 2012! Tribu Buntatalan-on gave a splendid performance (which prompted me to rank them 5th in my personal choices), pushing Ilonganon to 6th place. I really loved their dance and they gave the most warrior-like performance. But their costume is not new and this was a disappointment. I wanted to say this on-air during the Bombo Radyo coverage but I waited ‘til I got back here in Manila and checked my old files. I hope re-using costumes won’t be allowed by the Dinagyang organizers. I love this tribe but please design something new if you wanna join again next year. The photos do not lie.The only new thing added the costumes were the mini-coconut husks positioned in front of the warriors’ private parts (the same style used many times by Tribu Taga-Jaro which wais led by Anthony Purtugalete, the same choreographer of this year’s Buntatalan-on).
