
There’s a three-part (per gate division area) exhibit on the Chinese Opera, showing the authentic costumes used in the traditional Chinese Opera. It’s very intricate and the textiles are elegantly grand. I’ve seen an actual Chinese Opera in Beijing way back. It’s cool the first time you see it. After that, I think I’m already okay. hehehe. Perhaps if I completely understand Chinese, I’d see more of it.
The one in the picture is what they call the “Great Han” costume worn by Cantonese opera “actresses”. This one is i quotation marks because we all know all the women in Chinese opera is played by male actors. hehehe!
